For my third experiment, I put forth a Mini Documentary. As with my previous experiments, through this mini doc, I hoped to put forth the idea that there is a tendency which so many of us have, one that is ever so flawed, to exude a façade of everlasting happiness, whilst ignoring and suppressing our pain and our hurt. I chose a mini doc as my medium for this experiment because I find that there is incredible power behind visuals; I have always been fascinated by visuals: music videos, short films, movies, etc. I remember being as young as 7 years old and begging my mom to play me the music videos of my favorite songs because something about watching them and hearing the song played simultaneously, heightened the experience. This is how I felt and continue to feel about all forms of videography; it, to this day, makes me feel indescribable emotions. Photographs & videos, these captured moments, speak volumes without saying any words at all. Thus, I wanted to take on the task of filming something powerful.
